Eileen K. Storzer of rural Ripon, WI passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011. Eileen was born on September 30, 1939, in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of Rupert Storzer, Sr. and Eleanor (McClain) Storzer. She spent her childhood in Oconto Falls, WI. Eileen graduated from Brillion High School, Brillion, WI and attended UW LaCrosse, graduating with degrees in Physical Education and Biology. She also attended St. Norbert College.
After graduation Eileen taught K-12 at Brillion, Manawa and Waupun, WI. She also taught at Indiana University at Indiana, PA. While in Waupun, she was an instructor in the religious education program at St. Joseph Parish.
Throughout her career Eileen was actively involved in AAU and Junior Olympic meets. She ran state track & field and cross-country meets for children 13 and under. In 1970 she founded Hera Athletic Club, a childrens track & field and cross-country organization. Further, she implemented an adapted physical education program for children with special needs.
Eileen is survived by nieces, nephews, four step-sisters, two step-brothers and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister. At her request there will be a private memorial service, held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Oconto Falls, WI.
