Elaine Briskie, age 61, of Ripon, WI, died Saturday, January 23, 1999, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.
She was born February 17, 1937, in the Township of Ceneca. She is the daughter of Edward and Isabelle (Strebelinski) Disterhaft. Elaine graduated from Berlin High School. On August 13, 1955, she married Anthony Briskie. Elaine was a housewife and also worked beside her husband for NFO Service Market Center of Brandon, as a secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony of Ripon, WI; six children, Christopher (Margaret) of Greendale, WI, Victoria (Alan) Woyak of Ripon, WI, Ida Mae (William) Bernarde of Sussex, WI, Alan of Brandon, WI, Sandra (Mark) Waldschmidt of Hartland, WI and Bruce (Sherry) of Ripon, WI; Mother Isabelle Disterhaft of Berlin, WI; mother-in-law, Caroline Briskie; sister, Mary Jane (Vilas) Kapp of Berlin, WI; two brothers, David (Patricia) and Michael (Doria). Gramma’Laine is furthered survived by her 13 grandchildren, Jessica, Krystal, Matthew, Gregory, Cassandra, Laura, Michael, Emily, Megan, Erin, Amanda, Adam and Mackenzie; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Edward; son, Dennis and brother, Florian.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 26, 1999, at 11 am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church of Ripon with Father John A. Schmitz officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, January 25, 1999, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. A Rosary will be held at 7:30 pm. Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society.
