Elaine M. Davis, age 67, formerly of Ripon and currently of Brussels, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at Door Co. Memorial Hospital, Sturgeon Bay.
She was born June 19, 1931, in Saxeville, a daughter to Herman and Ethel (Erickson) Tesch. Elaine graduated from Berlin High School. On July 15, 1950, she married Ray Davis and they celebrated 49 years of marriage. At one time, she owned and ran the Young Styles Shop in Ripon, and later with her husband Ray, owned and operated R.H. Davis Mens Wear until their retirement. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon. Elaine loved her 4 children more than anything in the world, and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Ray of Brussels; 1 daughter, Kathy (Gary) Beranek of Beaver Dam; 3 sons, Steve (Jody) Davis of Kansasville, Jim (Penny) Davis of Ripon and John Davis of Oshkosh; 3 grandsons, John, Nick & Adam; and 1 sister, Lauretta Jones of Sturgeon Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother.
Private family visitation, followed by private graveside services will be Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Oakwood Cemetery, Berlin with the Rev. Paul Holte officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon in her name.
