Elaine S. Leitz, 73, of 315 Union St., Ripon, died suddenly March 20, 1994, at her home.
She was born December 5, 1920, in Ripon, the daughter of Louis and Dora (Duehring) Schultz. She attended Ripon Schools and Ripon College. On October 23, 1943, she married Herman Leitz Jr. Elaine was a housewife and had lived in Ripon all of her life. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Elaine is survived by 2 sons, Harold (Mary) Leitz of Oshkosh and Herman (Sue) Leitz of Ripon; 1 daughter, Carolyn (Howard) Walter of Wytheville, VA; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 3 sisters, Mabel Dornbrook of Ripon, Mildred Cook of Tallahassee, FL, and Hildegarde Mietzelfeldt of Fond du Lac; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Herman Leitz Jr.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
Funeral services for Elaine S. Leitz will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon. The Reverend Dean Peterson will officiate and interment will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett. A memorial has been established.
