Elaine D. Nowinski, age 81, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Michalene’s in Ripon, WI.
Elaine was born on September 8, 1928, in Green Lake, the daughter of Egnacy and Rose (Grusczynski) Polcyn. She graduated from Green Lake High School in 1946. On October 4, 1952, Elaine married George Nowinski at St. Wenceslaus (now St. Catherine of Siena) Catholic Church. She was a faithful member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Nowinski of Ripon; brother, David (Rosalie) Polcyn of Ripon; nieces, Marie (James) Krinke of Ripon, WI, Barbara Nowinski of Ripon, Janice (Brian) Sutphin of Menlo Park, CA; nephews, David Nowinski of Black River Falls, WI, Thomas (Donna) Polcyn of Ripon, WI, Ronald (Amy) Polcyn of Green Lake, WI, and Timothy (Sandra) Polcyn of Ripon, WI; aunt, Ellen Grusczynski; sister-in-law, Marion Nowinski of Ripon, WI; and special friends, Darwin (Carol) Prellwitz, Jim Prellwitz, Gene (Carrie) Prellwitz, and Jennifer (Christopher) Peshek. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, May 9, 1990, and brother, Edward.
Visitation for Elaine Nowinski will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010, from 4 – 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. Then again on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St. Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Elaine Nowinski will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 Fond du Lac St. Ripon, WI 54971. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.
