Elaine Trapp

Elaine M. Trapp, age 82, of Ripon, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon, WI.

Elaine was born on September 17, 1927, in the Town of Rushford, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Henke) Merkey. She attended Omro Schools and in 1945, Elaine married LeRoy “Pat” Trapp at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett, WI. Elaine worked at Ripon Foods in Ripon for 52 years. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett.

Survivors include two sisters, Olive Kempken and Isabelle Jacobson and one brother, Fred Merkey. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy on August 20, 2007; a sister and a brother.

Per Elaine’s wishes there will be a private service. Inurnment will be at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in the Town of Utica. Memorials may be given to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 502 County Rd. M, Pickett, WI 54964.
