Eldon E. Ponto, 62, of West Bend, died Saturday, May 21, 1994, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Ozaukee.

Eldon was born July 3, 1931, and educated in Green Lake. He was the son of Avolt and Evelyn (Link) Ponto. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed at Tecumseh Products Co. in Grafton where he had retired a year ago. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Markesan and of the American Legion Post in Green Lake.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna; one sister, Ruth (Harold) Jackowski of Ripon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Eldon (Gladys) Dallman, Eloise (Earl) Galow, Donald (Patricia) Dallman, and Russell (Beverly) Dallman, all of Markesan; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Eldon was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and relatives may call from 5 to 8 pm on Monday at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and one hour before the service on Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Markesan.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Markesan, with the Reverend Paul Hirsch officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Lake Center Cemetery, Town of Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
