Eleanor Darnick

Eleanor V. Darnick, 82, of Green Lake, WI, died December 2, 1994, at Sunnyview Health and Rehabilitation in Princeton.

She was born May 4, 1912, in Green Lake County, daughter of John and Mary Luchinski Mirr. She was married to Mathew Bandl from 1929 until he died in 1972. She later married Francis Darnick in 1973. Eleanor had lived in Milwaukee for over 30 years, and was an assembler at Briggs and Stratton. Since 1947, she has lived in Green Lake and was a housewife. Eleanor was a member Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake.

Mrs. Darnick is survived by her husband, Francis; one son, Doug (Lois) Bandl of West Allis; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Josephine Meyer of Ripon and Sally Szplett of Green Lake. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mathew Bandl and several brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1 pm Monday, December 5, 1994, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Reverend John Dowd will officiate. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3 until 7pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A prayer service will be held at 6 pm at the funeral home.
