Mrs. Eleanor Dorothy Gregory, age 72, of Green Lake, WI, passed away Saturday, May 2, 1992, at her home.
She was born November 2, 1919, in DeGraff, MN, the daughter of George and Mae (Simmons) Halpin. On February 7, 1942 she married Gordon Gregory in Kenosha. Mrs. Gregory was educated in Kenosha and was a housewife. She lived in Green Lake since 1981. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, and was an avid and accomplished seamstress with an eye for perfection.
Mrs. Eleanor Gregory is survived by her husband, three sons: Gordon H. (Sheila), Gerald and his fiancée Rita, and James (Debbie) all of Kenosha, one daughter, Judy (Tom) Mc Elvaney of Ocala, Florida. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, one brother, Joe Halpin of Kenosha, four sisters, Florence Roden, Bernice Kirkpatrick, Irene Shawler, and Loretta Helminger all of Kenosha. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Gregory will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 1992 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, with the Reverend Leo Joyce officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 until the time of services Tuesday at the church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, at St. Georges Cemetery in Kenosha. A memorial has been established for Hospice Hope.
