Eleanor Schuler

Eleanor J. Schuler, died July 11, 1995, at a Green Bay hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Green Bay, WI July 26, 1911, to Charles and Dorothy Dieman and later moved to Fond du Lac. Eleanor received her B.S. and R.N. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She married William H. Schuler in 1937. They moved to Ripon in 1946, where Dr. Schuler was in private, general practice and also served as Ripon College physician. Eleanor loved to golf, participated in numerous Ripon community organizations and volunteer services and enjoyed spending summer vacations at Point Comfort on in Green Bay with her family. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Ripon.

Her survivors include a sister, Barbara Stapleton of Washington, PA; brother, Charles Dieman of Bethesda, MD; one daughter, Judith (Frank) Weinhold of Green Bay; two sons, William (Connie) Schuler of Green Bay and John (Sally) Schuler of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Wallen of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jill (Brad) Hanna of Kansas City, KS and Mark Weinhold; Tina and Christopher Schuler; and Justin and Jaret Schuler. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband in 1974, her sister Dorothy Mercer and a brother, James Dieman.

A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Ripon on Monday, July 17, 1995 at 4 pm. Reverend John N. Bixby, Jr. will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Ripon Medical Center or the American Cancer Society.
