Eleanor Antoinette Yasick, age 71, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, May 1, 1992, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 19, 1920, in Montreal, WI, the daughter of John and Charlotte (Snarsinkski) Woitkielevicz. She was educated in Hurley. On February 9, 1938, she married Steve Yasick in Montreal. Mrs. Yasick has resided in Ripon the last 48 years. She was a retired mail sorter for the Ripon Commonwealth. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Ripon, the rosary sodality and the parish senior choir. She was an avid knitter, card player, and gardener.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen; one son, Melvin (Roseann) Yasick of Baraboo; two daughters, Mary Ann (Ralph) Remmenga of Freedom and Kathleen Colson of Ripon; one daughter-in-law, Darlene Yasick of Grand Rapids, MI; fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte Mossey of Tulsa, OK; and one brother, Chester Wojt of Portland, OR. She was preceded in death by one son, Eugene, three brothers, and eight sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Ripon with the Reverend William L. Toelle officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery, Town of Ripon. Friends may call Sunday, from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, where a rosary service will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A memorial has been established for handicap access to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
