Eleanore Mary (Steeps) Hoch, age 85, W 12106 Hwy 23, Ripon, died Thursday morning, January 2, 2003, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
She was born September 22, 1917, in the Town of Nepeuskun, Winnebago County, the daughter of August Frank and Mary (Kasuboski) Steeps. She was educated in Ripon and graduated from Ripon High School. On December 31, 1935, she married Bernard “Bud” William Hoch. Eleanore worked at Ripon Foods, Inc. for 33 years. She had resided in the Ripon Area all of her adult life.
Survivors include 2 sons, Bernard “Bud” (Patty) Hoch of Ripon and Barry Hoch and friend, Debbie of Rosendale; 1 daughter, Mrs. Bernadette Ihland of Havelock, NC; 8 grandchildren, Chris (Brian) Rutta of Stevens Point, Brian (Lisa) Hoch of Stevens Point, Sarah, Heath & Tyson Hoch of Ripon, Gail (Troy) Lenz of Ripon, Bill (Karen) Hoch of Ripon and Cassie Ihland of Havelock, N.C.; and 6 great-grandchildren, Parker Rutta of Stevens Point, Alex & Cameron Hoch of Stevens Point and Bailey, Elizabeth & Jacob Hoch of Ripon. She is further survived by one sister-in-law, Irene Steeps of Ripon and special friend, Donna Hoch of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister, 1 brother, and 1 son-in-law.
Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Private family inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
