Elizabeth Rebecca Dittmer, age 84, of Ripon, WI, died Sunday, January 12, 1997, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born June 16, 1912, in Pleasant Spring Township, WI, a daughter to Alvin and Amy (Hanson) Drotning. She attended Stoughton, WI, Public Schools, St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN and the University of WI, Madison. On April 26, 1940, she was united in marriage to Dr. Otto A. Dittmer. She resided in Stoughton, WI, and Ripon, WI, since 1950. Elizabeth was Registered Nurse; she served as president of the Ripon School Board, and also was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Jim Dittmer of Portland, Oregon; Robert Dittmer of Tacoma, Washington; three grandsons; and a brother, David Drotning of Stoughton, WI. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Otto A. Dittmer and brother, Edward Drotning.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 16, 1997, at 3:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon. Pastor Paul Holte will officiate and burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 1:00 until the time of the service at the church.
