Elizabeth Gersbacher

Elizabeth Gersbacher, 93, of Ripon, died Thursday morning, July 1, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.

She was born on December 28, 1905, the daughter of Johann Freidrich and Emma (Kilchling) Schuitheiss in Loerrach, Germany. She attended school in Loerrach, Germany. On June 30, 1934, she married Franz Gersbacher in Fond du Lac, WI and was a homemaker. Elizabeth lived in Fond du Lac until 1968, when they retired and moved to Green Lake.

Survivors include her 4 children: Mary (Willard) Brachmann of
Sheboygan: Peter (Lola) Gersbacher of Anaheim, CA; Kathleen (Jack)
Erickson of Fond du Lac: Susan (Alex) Rosen of Van Nuys, CA; 11
Grandchildren, Peggy Lawrence; Jim, Mike and Steve Brachmann, Joan
O’Brien, Debbie Benish, Mark and Chris Erickson, David and Ryan
Gersbacher, and Rebecca Rosen; 12 great-grandchildren, Chris Lawrence,
David, Amy, Allison, Michael, Nicholas, Mitchel, and Rae Lyn Brachmann,
Brittany, Casey, and Trevor Benish, and Kyle Gersbacher.

Preceding her in death were her husband Franz, one brother Fritz, and four sisters Emma, Frieda, Marie, and Lina.

A Memorial service for Elizabeth will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 1999 at 2:00 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Father Ernest Dreher officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. lnurnment will be in the Green Lake Center Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.

Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home at the corner of Oshkosh and Mayparty Drive is assisting the family with arrangements.
