Elizabeth Pettack-Mirr

Elizabeth “Liz” Pettack-Mirr, age 52, of Green Lake, passed away on Tuesday, December 01, 2009, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, WI.

Liz was born on April 26, 1957, in Ripon, the daughter of DuWayne and Phyllis (Krueger) Bloch. She graduated from Green Lake High School and attended both UW Oshkosh and Marion College’s School of Nursing. Liz waitressed for years at Carvers and Tuscumbia, and later, she co-owned and operated Ripon Travel Agency. She continued to work in the industry after selling the agency. Liz also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a nursing home and was a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop Leader. On October 8, 2005, Liz married Chris Mirr in Green Lake, WI.

Survivors include her husband, Chris; two daughters, Virginia (Pepe) Cerdan of Appleton, WI, and Deanna (Terry Lyons) Pettack of Madison, WI; two step-sons, Zach and Brady Mirr; grandchildren, Isabella and Gabriella Cerdan, and Collin Lyons; her mother, Phyllis Bloch of Green Lake, WI; and her sister, D ‘Etta (Guy) McMillan of Arlington Heights, IL. Liz is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Edina Schultz and Gustave and Elsa Bloch and her father, DuWayne.

Visitation for Elizabeth Pettack-Mirr will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Prayer Service for Elizabeth Pettack-Mirr will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriguez will officiate. Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Liz’s utmost joy in the world were her grandchildren. She loved to be with them and she enjoyed every minute she had with them.
