Ella H. Asen, 85, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2004, at The Gardens at Green Lake Manor in Green Lake.
She was born on November 14, 1918, in Milwaukee, a daughter to Arthur and Clara (Reinke) Kuether. She graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee. On February 3, 1940, she married Henry W. Asen, Jr. in Milwaukee. Ella was a secretary for Mayflower Moving and Storage. After Henry retired in 1974, they moved to Green Lake in 1976.
Survivors include 1 son, Henry A. (Ruth) Asen; 1 daughter, Beverly (Thomas) Connery; 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sandy) Asen, Thomas (Marcia) Connery, Christopher Connery, Brian (Cheri) Connery, and Colleen Connery; 2 great-grandchildren, Kyle Connery and Nicole Asen; 1 sister, Mabel Plantz; 3 sisters-in-law, Marion Kihn, Lorraine Stroh and Gloria Asen; and 1 brother-in-law, Robert (Lorraine) Asen. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Rev. Donald Deike officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Milwaukee. Memorials in her name to a charity of your choice.
