Ella Thiel

Ella Louise Thiel, age 94, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 1991, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.

Mrs. Thiel was born April 15, 1897, in Berlin, a daughter to August and Augusta (Witchow) Schlueter. On March 20, 1918, she married Reinhold F. Thiel at the parsonage of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. She was widowed on November 23, 1979. She was a housewife and had lived in Ripon all of her life. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Ripon, a member of the Ripon Rebekah’s #195 and was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Doris Hartman and Elaine (Doug) Stellmacher and one son, Arlyn (Beverly) Thiel all of Ripon; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, one brother and son-in-law, Leslie Hartman.

Visitation for Ella will be held on Monday, July 29, 1991, from 2 – 3:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral service for Ella will be held on Monday, July 29, 1991, at 3:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial in her name has been established.
