Ella Mae Vancil, age 57, of Ripon, WI passed away on Sunday, May 31, 1987 at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Ella was born on May 9, 1930 in Steeleville, IL, the daughter of Herbert and Flora (Alms) Thies. She attended Campbell Hill Community Schools in Campbell Hill, IL, and was a resident of Ripon since 1967. On November 26, 1950 she married Max D. Vancil. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon Women's Club, and Hospital Auxiliary.
Ella is survived by her husband, Max; a daughter, Babette O'Connor of Ripon, WI; a son, Dale Vancil of St. Paul, MN; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward Thies of New Athens, IL and Lee Thies of Dupo, IL. She is preceded in death by one brother and one daughter.
Visitation for Ella will be held from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 1987, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI.
Funeral Services for Ella will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, June 3, 1987 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon with Reverend Carl L. Stubenvoll officiating.
Visitation will also take place from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 4, 1987 at the Wilson Funeral Home in Campbell Hill, IL, followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm also at Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Philip A. Gronback officiating. Interment will take place at St. Lukes Lutheran Church Cemetery in Campbell Hill, IL. A memorial has been established in Ella's name.
