Elmer W. Barnes, age 80, of Milwaukee, WI, passed away on Friday, November 23, 1956, at the home of his son.
Elmer was born August 31, 1876, the son of William Barnes. He married Henrietta Macholz and for many years was manager of the Ripon United Telephone Company of Ripon until his retirement 30 years ago. Elmer was past Noble Grand of the Ripon IOOF, Rebeccas, Ripon Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son, Vernon of Milwaukee and two brothers, Lester of Milwaukee and John of Wautoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta, one brother and one sister.
Friends may call on Friday, November 30, 1956, after 11:00 am at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Elmer will be held on Saturday, December 1, 1956, at 2:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home with The Reverend Douglas O. Anderson officiating. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
