Elmer Kobernik

Elmer Ludwig Kobernik, age 61, of Green Lake, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 20, 1955 at Berlin Chapman Plant.

Elmer was born in Green Lake, WI on January 2, 1894, the son of William and Willimena (Smith) Kobernik. He was educated in Green Lake and went on to serve our country during World War I. On May 4, 1921 he married Elsie Rueckert. He was a carpenter and a pattern maker. Elmer was a member of the American Legion and was part of the Green Lake Fire Department.

Elmer is survived by his wife, Elsie Kobernik of Green Lake, WI; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Kaanenberg of Green Lake, WI; a brother, Herman of Green Lake, WI; and seven sisters, Mrs. Herman Griese of Ripon, WI, Mrs. Herman Deibert of Green Lake, WI, Mrs. August Hilke of Ripon, WI, Mrs. Adolph Hilke of Rush Lake, WI, Mrs. Fred Denzine of Ripon, WI, Mrs. Ernest Timm of Ripon, WI, and Mrs. Paul Miller of Ripon, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Elmer will be held from 12:00 pm on Wednesday, June 22, 1955 until 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 23, 1955 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI.

Funeral service for Elmer will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 23, 1955 at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake, WI, with Reverend C.E. Krug officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake, Wisconsin.
