Elmer Kuhs

Elmer Kuhs, age 99, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Michalene’s in Ripon.
Elmer was born July 26, 1914, in Ripon, the son of Otto and Augusta (Press) Kuhs. He graduated from Ripon High School. In 1954, Elmer married Era Louise Brand in Ripon. He worked as a type setter in the printing business. Elmer was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include three sons, Tom (Joy) Kuhs of Kalamazoo, MI, Jim (Becky) Nichols of Kankakee, IL and Tim (Corinne) Kuhs of West Allis, WI; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Era; brothers, Leo, Hugo and Henry Kuhs and sisters, Hulda Kuhs and Hazel Langeberg.
Visitation for Elmer will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013, from 9 – 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Elmer will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013, at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to Grace Evangelical Church in Ripon.
Elmer’s family would like to thank the staff at Michalene’s and Agnesian Hospice Hope in Green Lake for the wonderful care that they gave Elmer.
