Elmer Schilf

Elmer A. Schilf, 87, of 532 W. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, died Saturday, December 9, 1989, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 26, 1901, in Green Lake to Emil J. and Louise A. Krenze Schilf Sr. On July 8, 1928, he married Agnes Albrecht.

Mr. Schilf was educated in the Town of Brooklyn. He resided in the Green Lake and Ripon areas all of his life. For 42 years he worked as a yard man for the Schrader Building Materials and Fuel Co. in Ripon. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.

Survivors include one son, Carroll of Ripon; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Mlodzik of Ripon; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one sister, Leone Elvers of Ripon. His wife preceded him in death on December 29, 1977. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Jean and Ruby; two brothers, Clarence and Emil Jr., and one sister, Edna Schilf.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 15, 1989, at 11:00 am at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. The Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.

Friends may call Friday from 9:00 am until the hour of services at the funeral home.
