Elmira Behnke, age 68, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 1954, at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Elmira was born June 23, 1886, in Ottawa, IL, the daughter of James and Amanda (Barr) Beck. On November 9, 1912, she married Emil Behnke.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ora Lueptow of Markesan and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and sister, both who died in 1947.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 3, 1954, after 2:00 pm at the family home.
Funeral Service for Elmira will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 1954, at 2:00 pm at the family home with The Reverend L.G. Thiel of Markesan officiating. Interment will take place at Markesan Cemetery.
