Elton R. Wetzel, 74, of 504 Russell Dr, Apt 2, Ripon, died August 30, 1995 at Parkview Care Center, Ripon after a brief stay.
He was born in Fond du Lac County on June 15, 1921, a son of the late August and Ida Lehman Wetzel. He was educated in the Ripon School System, and later served in the U.S. Air Force. On October 18, 1947, he married the former Roselyn Hoffman and they made their home in Ripon. Elton worked for 30 years at Speed Queen in Ripon. Mr. Wetzel was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon.
He is survived by his wife, Roselyn (Hoffman) Wetzel; 3 daughters, Linda Wetzel (Michael Vesper) of Chicago, Donna Wetzel of Ripon and her fiance, Roger Bly and Marsha Palmer of Milwaukee; 3 sons, Robert Wetzel, Thomas Wetzel of Wautoma and Richard (Lorna) Wetzel of Ripon; and grandchildren, Daniel, Samuel, Noah, Kaitlyn and Ben Wetzel 1, and Christopher Palmer. He is further survived by I sister, Myra Wetzel of Juneau, 1 brother, Marvin (Shirley) Wetzel of Ripon, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, William Wetzel.
Funeral services for the late Elton R. Wetzel will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon with Pastor Ray Steger officiating. Cremation will follow.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4 until 8 P.M. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
