Elva Loraine Humbright
Elva Loraine Humbright, age 91, of Ripon, died Sunday evening, February 3, 2002, at Berlin Hospital in Berlin.
She was born September 18, 1910, in Ripon, a daughter to Gustav and Elvina (Prellwitz) Som-merfeldt. She attended school in Ripon. On October 15, 1930, she married Lawrence W. Hum-bright, and she helped him on their family farm. Elva had worked at Admanco for 10 years until she retired in 1966. Mrs. Humbright was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, and formerly was a member of the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Alton J. Meyer of Ripon; two granddaughters, Jane (Patrick) Disterhaft of Fond du Lac and Sara (Ronald) Liptow of Rosendale; great-grandson, Patrick, Jr.; step-great-grandchildren, Chad (Jill) Liptow of Mukwonago and Kirstin (Tom) Gregor of Berlin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Humbright in 1988; daughter, Ruth A. Meyer in 2000; brother, Alfred; and sister, Leona.
Funeral service for Elva Loraine Humbright will be Wednesday, February 6, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon, with Rev. Paul L. Holte officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
