Emil F. Rutz, age 81, of Ripon, WI passed away on Monday, June 18, 1951 at his home in Ripon.
Emil was born in Grabau, Germany on May 23, 1870, the son of August and Wilhelmina (Bahr) Rutz. On August 20, 1897 he married Hulda Lentz in Ripon, where he resided for 70 years. He was a cigar maker, a member of Odd Fellow for 50 years, and a member of Modern Woodmen. Emil was the Relief Director for the City of Ripon for 30 years.
Emil is survived by his wife, Hulda Rutz; and a son, Lloyd Rutz both of Ripon, WI; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Leo Timm of Ripon, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Wilhelmina Rutz; a daughter; and seven brothers.
Visitation for Emil will be held from 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 19, 1951 until 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 21, 1951 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Emil will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 21, 1951 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
