Emma Fredrick

November 8, 1901 — April 29, 1997

Emma Ella Huth Fredrick, age 95, formerly of Green Lake and a resident of Juliette Manor for 13 months, died Tuesday, April 29, 1997, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 8, 1901, in Milwaukee, a daughter to Gustave and Ella Barbara Huth. She attended school in Milwaukee, and married Berthold Fredrick in Milwaukee on June 6, 1925. Emma was Floor Lady for Phoenix Hosiery in Milwaukee until 1932 when they moved to Berlin on a farm. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin and was an Honorary Member of the Senior Citizens of Green Lake. She is known to many as Granny Fredrick. Emma loved her flowers and her small vegetable garden.

Survived by her daughter, Eleanor Gallup of Green Lake; granddaughter, Karen (David) Homan of Sturgeon Bay; grandsons, Wayne (Betty) Katzur of Cabool, Missouri and Maurice (Jodie) Gallup of Green Lake; great-grandsons, Keith and Craig Homan of Sturgeon Bay and Seth Katzur Missouri and special great-grandson, Nickolas Gallup; and great-granddaughters, Jamie Ebert of Green Lake, Paula Homan of Sturgeon Bay and Heather and Valarie Katzur of Missouri. She is further survived by a very Special Friend, Cindy Gallup, relatives and friends, and her Protective Companion J.J. her dog. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Norman Fredrick; a sister, Lillian Fredrick, and three half-brothers, one half-sister, and son-in-law, John Gallup.

Funeral service is Saturday, May 3, 1997, at 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin with Reverend Kenneth Hinrichs officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9 am until the hour of the service at the church. Private burial will be in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. At the wish of the family, a memorial has been established in her name.
