Emma Griese, age 76, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, August 29, 1955 at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Emma was born in the Town of Brooklyn, WI on October 9, 1878, the daughter of William and Wilhelmina (Schmidt) Kobernik. On April 17, 1901 she married Herman Griese in Ripon and they have lived in Brandon, WI for 44 years.
Emma is survived by her husband, Herman Griese of Ripon, WI; two daughters, Mrs. William Rueckert of Ripon, WI and Alma Griese of the Town of Metomen, WI; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Herman Kobernik of Green Lake, WI; six sisters, Mrs. Herman Diebert of Green Lake, WI, Mrs. Adolph Hilke, Mrs. August Hilke, Mrs. Ernest Timm, Mrs. Fred Denzin and Mrs. Paul Miller all of Ripon, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Wilhelmina Kobernik; a brother; two sisters; and a great-grandson.
Visitation for Emma will be held from 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 30, 1955 until 11:00 am on Thursday, September 1, 1955 at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 1, 1955 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Funeral service for Emma will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 1, 1955 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Reverend Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake, WI.
