Emma A. Smith, age 94, of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 1986, at her home.
Emma was born April 5, 1891, in the Town of Springvale, WI, the daughter of August and Henrietta (Rau) Koentopp. She was educated in the Town of Springvale. Emma married Edward Smith on March 28, 1921 until his passing on September 22, 1969. She worked as a housewife. Emma was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale.
Survivors include one daughter, Hazel (Gordon) Klapperich of Rosendale; one son, Lyle of Rosendale; one brother, Harold Koentopp of Rosendale and one sister, Ida Garb of Rosendale. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and one brother.
Visitation for Emma will be held on Saturday, April 5, 1986, from 6 – 9:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
Funeral Service for Emma will be held on Sunday, April 6, 1986, at 1:30 pm at Peace Lutheran Church with Reverend Bruce Buslaff officiating. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. A memorial has been established for the church.
