Erma Koplin

Erma Lucille Koplin (nee Dahms), age 99, of Ripon, WI, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.

Erma was born October 7, 1915, in the Township of Ripon, the daughter of Carl and Marie (nee Helmer) Dahms. On August 12, 1939, Erma married Edison Koplin at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. She was a long time member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Erma enjoyed gardening and no one could beat her chocolate chip cookies, apple pie or homemade coleslaw.

Survivors include two sons, Norman (Wilma) Koplin and James (Judy) Koplin both of Ripon, WI; three grandsons, Tony Koplin (special friend Nancy) of Beloit, WI, Tom (Malena) Koplin of Brookfield, WI, and Steven (Anna) Koplin of Ripon, WI; great grandson, Hunter Koplin of Beloit, WI; sister, Margaret Jolly of Ripon, WI; four sisters-in-law, Marion Dahms of Fond du Lac, WI, Erna Weich, Delores Ingersoll and Esther Stellmacher, all of Ripon and one brother-in-law, Aldon (Anita) Keplin also of Ripon, WI along with nieces and nephews. Erma is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Marie Dahms; husband Edison on January 4, 1984; three sisters, Myrtle Siebenhaar, Esther Krueger, Marie Schultz and three brothers, Alfred Dahms, Albert Dahms and Richard Dahms.

Visitation for Erma Lucille Koplin will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral Service for Erma will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery in the Town of Metomen. Memorials may be directed to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
