Erma Slife

Erma M. Slife, age 87, of Oshkosh, formerly of Pickett, WI, passed away on March 20, 2011, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon with her family by her side.

Erma was born on July 27, 1923, in the Town of Coloma, WI, the daughter of Rudolph and Amanda (Fousch) Schubert. On April 19, 1941, she married Henry Slife at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Richford, WI. Erma was a candle maker for Lenox Candles for forty years. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Pickett and a member of the Ladies Aid. Erma was also a member of the Upper Lakes Fishing Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Deanna (Richard) Bradley of Pickett, WI; grandson, Jeffrey (Kim) Bradley of Oshkosh, WI; granddaughter, Stacey (Bryan) Bradley-Clemo of Pickett, WI; great-grandchildren, Alex and Emily Bradley of Oshkosh, WI and Kristian Bradley-Kasten of Pickett, WI; two brothers-in-law, Albert (Betty) Slife of Oshkosh, WI and Herbert Schimmelpfneig of Omro, WI and one sister-in-law, Vicky Slife of Oshkosh, WI. Erma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Rudolph Schubert, Selda Kojetin and Wilma Schimmelpfneig.

Visitation for Erma Slife will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 9:30 – 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 502 Cty M, Pickett, WI 54964.

Funeral Service for Erma Slife will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett. Pastor Jud Krohn will officiate. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh, WI. Memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice, 63 W. Pioneer Rd. Fond du Lac, WI 54935 or Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
