Erna Wrzinske, age 94, of 1629 Michigan Street, Oshkosh, died peacefully at home on Friday, October 27, 2006 with her family at her side.
Erna was born on March 8, 1912 in Rosendale Wisconsin to Frederich and Martha (Ziesmer) Born. Erna married Harry Wrzinske, on June 22, 1935. Erna graduated from Union Free High School in Rosendale in 1930 and received her teaching degree in 1933. She was particularly proud of her teaching career in the public school system. Erna was a member of St. Catherine of Siena in Ripon and an active member of the P.T.A. She was passionate about fishing, gardening, dogs and cooking was especially dear to her heart.
Survivors include three daughters, Jeanette Williams, Shirley Hinshaw, and Barbara Benthein; one brother, Marvin Born; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harry, on February 4, 2002.
Mass of Christian Burial for Erna Wrzinske will be held on Monday, October 30, 2006 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St. in Ripon at 10:30 am with Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon.
