Ervin Beuthin

Ervin “Peanuts” Beuthin, age 65, of Green Lake, WI, died unexpectedly October 11, 1996, at Ripon Medical Center.

He was born September 6, 1931, in the Town of Ripon, a son of the late Louie and Viola (Miller) Beuthin. He attended Green Lake Center School and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1952 – 1954. On September 11, 1955, he married the former Joan Klingbeil. Peanuts worked as a plumber for Green Lake Plumbing & Heating for the past 40 years, retiring this past August. He had lived in Green Lake most of his life.

Mr. Beuthin was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, ushered and served on church committees. He was past Commander of the Green Lake Willis-Chapel Post #306, past 6th District Sgt. at Arms, past county officer and other Legion offices. He was past member of the Green Lake Fire Department, serving as Assistant Chief for many years. Peanuts was a member of Wings Over Wisconsin, Walleyes for Tomorrow, Green Lake Lites, Inc. which was instrumental in getting athletic field lights, and was active in many community activities.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; seven brothers, Louie (Ruth) of Green Lake, Gilbert of Princeton, Vernon (Carol) of Berlin, David (Peggy) and Dennis (Jill), all of Ripon, Larry (Elisabeth) and Gerald “Corky” (Peggy) of Berlin; one sister, Betty (David) Kuen of Neenah; one sister-in-law, Janet Beuthin of Green Lake; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Phil and Mary Anne Baranowski, Joel and Linda Baranowski and Duwayne and Phyllis Bloch, all of Green Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Darwin.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 15, 1996, at 11:00 am at the Federated Church of Green Lake with Pastor Donald Brown officiating. Burial will be in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake.

Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 1996, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with a Legion Service at 7:30 pm.
