Ervin Sauerbrei Jr.

Ervin Sauerbrei Jr., age 73, of Princeton, WI, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Ervin was born April 6, 1941, in Wisconsin, the son of Ervin and Francisca (Stargardt) Sauerbrei, Sr. He graduated from high school and on October 7, 1967, Ervin married Karen Mosolf at St. John’s Catholic Church in Princeton. He worked at Rippin Foods as a weigher and retired after 41 years of service. Ervin loved cooking, especially barbeques, baked beans and his famous homemade chocolate brownies. He also enjoyed listening to polka music.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Karen Sauerbrei of Princeton, WI; son, Douglas (Lesa) Sauerbrei of Ripon, WI; daughter, Debra (Adam) Quade of Markesan, WI; granddaughter, Elaine (fiancée, Evan) Sauerbrei of Richmond, TX; two brothers, Dean (Laurie) Sauerbrei of Shawano, WI and Terry (Diane) Sauerbrei of Fond du Lac, WI and his many grand pets, Karma, Snickers, Squeakers, Nala, Chewy and Eggo. Ervin was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Danny and Dwayne Sauerbrei and a brother, Wilbur Sauerbrei.
Visitation for Ervin will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014, from 1 – 4:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Prayer service for Ervin will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 4:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Father John Schmitz will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
