Erwin H. Beilke, 87, of Ripon, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI.
Erwin was born on March 23, 1920 the son of Walter and Lillian (Frei) Beilke in Fairwater, WI. He graduated from Ripon High School and then attended 2 years at the U.W. Madison College Farm Short Course. Erwin was a Dairy Farmer who owned his own farm. He was a Wisconsin Junior Chamber of Commerce State Farmer in 1954. Erwin also served as the Director of Fond du Lac County Holstein Association Board for 25 years. In addition, he was a Director of Alto Dairy Company for 29 years and served as its President for 15 of those years. Erwin was an active member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, and he also helped develop the Immanuel United Methodist Church Foundation, Inc., and was on the committee when the new Church was built in 1957. He was also on the Ripon School Board of Education for 9 years and was a Charter Member of Fairwater Lions. On September 25, 1943 he married Virginia Zellmer in Ripon. After his retirement, Erwin enjoyed golfing, and his family was very precious to him.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Beilke of Ripon, two sons; Michael (Nancy) Beilke of DeForest, WI, and Stephen (Maureen) Beilke of Madison, five grandchildren; Michelle (Daniel) Priebusch of Cottage Grove, WI, Jennifer (Troy) White of Cokato, MN, Ryan Beilke of Madison, WI, Lindsay Beilke of Chicago, IL, Kristin Beilke of Madison, WI, three great-grandchildren; Michael, Matthew, and Elizabeth Priebusch, one sister; Miriam Huth of Markesan, WI, and several nieces and nephews. Erwin was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Erwin H. Beilke will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again on Monday, August 6, 2007 from 10:00-11:00AM at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Funeral Services for Erwin H. Beilke will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 11:00AM at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon with Reverend Paul Nulton officiating. Interment will follow in Fairwater Cemetery in the Village of Fairwater, WI. Memorials can be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church.
