Erwin Pahl

Erwin Fred Pahl, age 76, died peacefully Sunday August 4, 1996, at home.

He was born December 14, 1919, in Green Lake Co., a son of the late Max and Emma (Mathweg) Pahl. He married Gwendolyn Fisher May.23, 1942 in St. John’s Lutheran Church of Markesan. Erwin graduated from Box Elder Grove School, Town of Green Lake. He was a farmer all his life and loved hunting and fishing. He served on Markesan School Board for 14 years. Erwin was a very active life long member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church.

He survived by his wife of 54 years, a daughter, Kathleen (Dan) Egbert, 2 grandsons, Charles and Nicholas all of Green Lake.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 1996, at 11:00 A.M. at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Markesan with Pastor Paul Hirsch officiating. Visitation will be Monday August 5, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Lake Center Cemetery, Town of Green Lake.
