Esther L. Kosanke, 91, of Parkview Care Center, Ripon, died Wednesday, March 16, 1994, at Ripon Medical Center, Ripon.
She was born March 29, 1902, the daughter of Herman and Johanna (Rupnow) Prellwitz. She married Frank A. Kosanke on June 11, 1924. He passed away on March 18, 1962. Esther was a housewife and had lived in Ripon all of her life. She was a lifelong member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, and was a charter member of the Alter Guild. She also was a member of the Lakeshore Homemakers and the Senior Citizens Harmonica Rascals.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Lillian (Howard) Leu of Ripon and Carol (Allan) Hedeman of Peoria, IL; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Lillie Abel of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and one son Robert.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 1994, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Funeral services for Esther L. Kosanke will be held on Friday, March 18, 1994 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, with The Reverend James D. Mohr officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established for Our Saviour’s united Church of Christ.
