Esther Liezen

Esther Martha Emma Liezen, age 87, of Ripon, WI, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, died Sunday, October 31, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 am on Friday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Reverend Timothy Wenger and David Albers will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Liezen was born in the Portage County Town of Carson on June 3, 1912, to Emil and Martha (Roeder) Luebeck. She married Edwin Liezen on September 23, 1936, in Stevens Point. He died on February 6, 1978.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and the Wisconsin Rapids Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include one son, Bruce (Betty Jean) Liezen of Wisconsin Rapids; one daughter, Dorothy (Roger) Mueller of Ripon; one brother, Gilbert Luebeck of Wisconsin Rapids; five grandchildren; Roger, Ryan, Bettyjean, Brice and Betsy-Rose; and two great-grandchildren; Cathy and Roxann. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, two brothers (Arnold and Reinhard), two sons (Donald and Norman) and grandson (Bruce Liezen II).
Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday and at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
