Eugene "Gene" Racine

Eugene “Gene” B. Racine, age 83, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on July 21, 2011, at his home with his family by his side.
Gene was born on December 15, 1927, in Chicago, IL, the son of Victor and Ethel (Roberts) Racine. He graduated from high school, completed two years of college and served our country in the United States Navy. In 1949, Gene married Jean Duffy in Chicago, IL. His occupation was a machinist/carpenter for a steel mill.
Survivors include his wife, Jean of Green Lake, WI; seven children, Sharon (Stan) Sniegowski of Ripon, WI, Karen Sanders of Green Lake, WI, Suzanne Racine of Lansing, IL, Beverly Racine of Lowell, IN, David (Raeann) Racine of Mokena, IL, Michelle (Jeff) Waldron of Lowell, IN and Paul (Holly) Racine of Lowell, IN; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and Bailey his dog. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Per Gene’s wishes, there will be no services.
Gene was a great outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing on Big Green Lake. His gardening was appreciated by friends and neighbors.
