Eugene Jensen, age 80, of Brandon, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Marvin Manor in Brandon.
Eugene was born March 7, 1935, in the Town of Lind, Waupaca County, the son of Russell and Alice (Chase) Jensen. He graduated from Berlin High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957. On June 23, 1961, Eugene married Genevieve Hansen in Bettendorf, IA. He was a tester on the transmission line at Speed Queen in Ripon retiring in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Genevieve Jensen of Brandon, WI; three children, Michael (Mary) Jensen of Prior Lake, MN, Kirt Jensen of Brandon, WI and Tammy (Doug) Hallum of Albert Lea, MN; four grandchildren, Brad and Brian Jensen, Angela Jepson and Justin Ceaman; five great-grandchildren, Sienne and Zoe, Haley and Logan and Kiahna; one sister, Barb (Bill) Drecktrah of Berlin. Eugene was further survived by nieces and nephews. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, son, Eugene Jr., infant daughter and two brothers, Alfred and Clayton.
Visitation for Eugene will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015, from 10 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Eugene will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. Interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park & Mausoleum in Oshkosh. A memorial is being established in his name.
