Eugene Lawrence Miller, age 71, of Green Lake, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center.
Eugene was born on February 25, 1936, in Chicago, the 1st of 5 sons to Donald H. Sr. and Genevieve C. (Meegan) Miller. He attended Holmes Grammar School in Chicago, and then graduated from Tilden Technical High School along side his younger brother, James. He later earned his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Evansville and went on to become an independent CPA. On January 4, 1975, Eugene married Karrie Ann Teeling, and the couple made their home in Green Lake. He enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with his father, as well as league bowling, watching a good football game, working a crossword puzzle, or just “tinkering”. Eugene was an active Rotary member for many years and worked for many local businesses as an accountant.
Survivors include his wife, Karrie Miller, son; Joseph J. Serio, daughters; Ann Kastenschmidt, Tracy (Steve) Egge, and Carol (Shawn) Buettner, grandchildren; Alyssa, Kali, Adam, Alex, Tyler, Ethan, and one due in February, sister; Marilyn Kolerich, as well as several nieces and nephews also survive. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents and his four younger brothers; James, Donald, Richard, and Robert.
Visitation for Eugene L. Miller will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Eugene L. Miller will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with the Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. A Memorial has been established.
