Eugene Moore, age 78, of Pickett, WI passed away on Friday, March 4, 1955 at Langelade County Memorial Hospital in Antigo, WI.
Eugene was born in the Town of Utica on July 23, 1876, the son of D.R. Moore. He has lived in the Town of Utica all his life, and was a carpenter. On April 4, 1901 he married Naolma Hinds in Ripon, WI. She passed away on March 24, 1954.
Eugene is survived by seven sons, George and Warren Moore of Oshkosh, WI, Roger Moore of Courtland, NY, Ralph Moore of Rahway, NJ, Dale Moore of Pickett, WI, Ben Moore of Waukau, WI, and Russell Moore of Ripon, WI; three daughters, Mrs. Hugo Schroeder of Ripon, WI, Mrs. Morris Gay of Waukau, WI, and Mrs. Ray Mauritz of Oshkosh, WI; 28 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Agens Stropp of Summit Lake, WI and Martha Chadwick of Antigo, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naolma Moore; a daughter; a brother; and a sister.
Visitation for Eugene will be held from 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 1955 until 11:00 am on Monday, March 7, 1955 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Monday, March 7, 1955 at Elo Methodist Church in Pickett, WI.
Funeral service for Eugene will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 7, 1955 at Elo Methodist Church in Pickett, WI, with Reverend Jerry Moede officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in Pickett.
