Eugene Von Schallern, age 61, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 1954, at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Eugene was born December 28, 1892, in Ripon, WI, the son of Dr. Bruno and Isadora (Easton) Von Schallern. He was educated at Ripon public schools and Marquette University. Eugene married Jessie Barclay in 1916 in Fond du Lac. He owned and operated Schallerns Drug Store for 22 years. Eugene was the Mayor of Ripon from 1940 to 1944.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie of Ripon, WI and one son, Carl Schallern of Los Angeles, CA and two grandchildren.
Friends may call on Monday, December 6, 1954, after 3:30 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Eugene will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 1954, at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church in Ripon with The Reverend Patrick Murphy officiating. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
