Eugenia “Jeanie” Shurpit, age 85, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at her home in Kindred Hearts.
Jeanie was born December 20, 1930, in Princeton, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Krafjack) Kozlowski. On October 3, 1953, Jeanie married Victor Shurpit in Princeton, WI. She was a lunch aide at St. John the Baptist School in Princeton, WI for 30 years. Jeanie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and loved to take care of everyone.
Survivors include her son, Andrew Shurpit of Princeton, WI; her sister, Lucille Hopp of Berlin, WI; her brother, Clarence Kozlowski of Princeton, WI; her sister-in-law, Irene (John) Carini of Theresa, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; her parents; her brother, Joseph Kozlowski; her sisters, Victoria (Harold) Kundert and Irene (Chester) Marshall; her brother-in-law, Robert Hopp; her sister-in-law, Teresa Kozlowski.
Visitation for Eugenia Shurpit will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 10 – 11:30am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., Princeton, WI 54968.
Mass of Christian Burial for Eugenia Shurpit will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 11:30am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Father Dale W. Grubba will officiate. Interment will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Princeton. Memorials may be directed to Generations Hospice, 1028 South Main St. C, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
