Eva Smith

Miss Eva B. Smith, 86, of Rosendale, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.

She was born April 10, 1914, in Rosendale, a daughter to the late Frank and Anna (Konow) Smith. Eva attended Fond du Lac Normal School, received a B.S. from U.W. Oshkosh, M.S. from U.W.Madison, and also attended U.W.Milwaukee, University of Northern Colorado, and Nicolet College in Rhinelander. She had been a public school teacher/principal for many years, and from 1967 until her retirement, she had been a School Psychologist for CESA #13. Eva was a member of Phi Beta Sigma, DK Gamma, Pilgrim Rebekah Lodge #95 in Ripon, and was included in the 9th, 10th and 11th editions of “Who’s Who of American Women.”

She is survived by special friends, James (LeMoine) Marcoe of Rosendale, and Helen Goodrich of Ripon, Betty Malaney of Oshkosh, and Bonnie (Pat) Hare of Campbellsport, and many other special friends.

Funeral service for Eva B. Smith will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2000, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Pastor David Busker will officiate, and interment will be in Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial gifts in her name will be given to the Rosendale Fire Dept. and the First Responders.
