Evelyn Cram

January 26, 1931 — April 11, 2001

Evelyn Cram, age 70, of Ripon, WI, died Wednesday evening, April 11, 2001, at Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac.

She was born on January 26, 1931, in Berlin, the daughter of Peter P. and Florence (Krebs) Resheske. Evelyn graduated from Berlin High School and County Normal Teachers College and taught at the one-room school house on Hwy 49. In 1952, she married Donald J. Cram in the state of Missouri and became a homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist church in Ripon, a life-long member and past president of the Fond du Lac County Homemakers, which recently changed to the Home & Community Education (HCE) Program. Evelyn also was a volunteer for Mrs. Z’s Kindergarten Class and Ripon Medical Center.

Survivors include her four son; Keith (Mary) Cram and their children Jennifer, Kristine and Meghan of Oshkosh; Kirk (Becky) Cram and their children, Jay, Jon, Sarah and Kate of Ripon; Craig Cram and his children, Aaron, Michelle and Kimberly of Prior Lake, MN; Terry (Kathy) Cram and their children, Lauren and Erin of Sheboygan; she is also survived by sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly and Darryl McCarthy of Oshkosh, Nora and Tony Markowski of Hudson, WI, Glen and Doris Cram of Grafton, WI; and special friends Andrea and Ben Werzinske of Ripon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Cram on June 13, 1996, her parents and sisters, Elaine Holbach and Ellen Thull. A memorial has been established in her name for first Books-HCE (Home and Community Education).

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon with Reverend David A. Busker officiating. Friends may call on Monday, April 16, 2001 from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again from 10 – 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow in the Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun.
