Evelyn Meyer, age 79, of Ripon, passed away on Sunday, Octber 5, 2008, at ManorCare Nursing Home in Fond du Lac.
Evelyn was born in Green Lake County on April 20, 1929, the daughter of George and Leona (Penn) Helmer. She graduated from Markesan High School, and on October 7, 1950 she married James Albert Meyer in Waupun, Evelyn worked for Delmonte Canning Company in the office. Evelyn was a member of the American Legion Auxilary.
Survivors include her children, David (Beverly) Meyer of Slinger, Nancy Phelps of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren, William Able Schwartz of Burbank, CA, Sinda Phelps of Los Angeles, Ca, Marie Lotto of Amesbury, MA, and Mary Meyer of Las Vegas, NV;
brother, Orrin Helmer of Kingston, WI; and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation for Evelyn Meyer will be held at 1-3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
Funeral service for Evelyn Meyer will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Inurnment will take place at a later date, in the Kingston Village Cemetery, Kingston, WI. A memorial has been established.
