Evelyn Moore

Evelyn R. Moore, age 88, of Pickett, passed away Friday evening, June 16, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.

Evelyn was born on December 23, 1917, the daughter of William and Elsie (Washkoska) Splittgerber. She graduated from Ripon High School and attended Oshkosh State Teachers College. On December 23, 1939, she married Dale Moore in Winchester, WI. She was a teacher in the Pickett and Oshkosh area school systems for over 40 years. Evelyn was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ of Ripon and the Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include, daughters, Sandra J. Salas (Donald Cameron) of Santa Rosa, CA. and Mary L. Wyer (Timothy Towne) of Omro; grandchildren, Steven (Janis), Andrea, Martin and Casey; one great-granddaughter, Arabella. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale, parents and one brother, Herbert.

Visitation for Evelyn R. Moore will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 10:00-11:00 a.m., at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon.

Funeral Service for Evelyn R. Moore will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, with Reverend Gerald Schrankler officiating. Interment will be held in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett. A memorial has been established.
