Evelyn L. Splitt, age 84, of 544 Lyon St. Ripon, died September 16, 2006 at Ripon Medical Center, with friends and family at her side.
Evelyn was born on February 10, 1922 in Wild Rose, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Mary (Bade) Schleicher. She graduated from Ripon High School, and worked as a telephone operator in Ripon and at Admanco as a stitcher for 21 years, and was a member of Immanual United Methodist Church in Ripon. In 1942 she married Bill Splitt in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Splitt of Plover and Janet (David) Gloyd of Ripon, granddaughter Jessica Gloyd of Ripon, two grandsons Jason (Angie Helmer) Gloyd of Oshkosh and Jeff (Josalyn) Gloyd of Onalaska, one greatgrandson Henry David Gloyd, and one brother Darwin Schleicher of Ripon. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister Dee Shippee, and one brother Lloyd Schleicher.
Visitation for Evelyn L. Splitt will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
Funeral Service for Evelyn L. Splitt will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon, with Reverend Paul Nulton officiating. Memorials to the American Cancer Society and the SGT. Andrew Wallace-Scholarship fund.
