Evelyn Lillian Wahoske, age 91, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, January 06, 2010, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon, WI.
Evelyn was born on September 7, 1918, in Fairwater, WI, the daughter of William and Lillian (Stellmacher) Zuelsdorf. She graduated from Ripon High School and on July 6, 1940, Evelyn married Willard Wahoske at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. She was a secretary for Speed Queen for thirty seven years. Evelyn loved dogs and cats and she often adopted stray animals. She was also an avid bowler and golfer and a lifelong resident of Ripon.
Survivors include her cousin and husband, Shirley, (Russ) Gustafson of West St. Paul, MN, and their children, Mark, (Wendi), Kiersten and Benjamin Gustafson of Seguin, TX, Craig Gustafson of West St. Paul, MN, Jody, (Daniel), Andrew, and Natalie Trampf of Sun Prairie, WI; one cousin, Elaine Ristau of Ripon, WI. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; and her parents, William and Lillian Zuelsdorf, and step-father Elmer Schroeder.
Visitation for Evelyn Wahoske will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010, from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Evelyn Wahoske will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. Reverend Paul W. Nulton will officiate. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name to the church.
